We cannot begin to express how excited we are to share the news that Sue VandeWoude, DVM, DACLAM has been elected  to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS)! Dr. VandeWoude is a 1990 graduate of our T32-funded training program. After completing her postdoctoral fellowship at JHU, she moved to Colorado State University where she has served as a clinician, administrator, teacher and researcher. She has established herself as a leader in the field of retrovirology with her work on retroviruses of domestic and wild felids, and is recognized as an exceptional mentor and advocate for veterinary students and early career veterinarians. Dr. VandeWoude currently serves as Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Congratulations Sue!
